Dooher to skipper Tyrone yet again

BRIAN DOOHER will captain Tyrone for an eighth successive season next year.

The Clan na nGael man has been confirmed by manager Mickey Harte as the man who will lead the Red Hand charge in 2011. Dooher skippered Tyrone to All-Irelands in 2005 and 2008, and though he will be 36 by the time the championship is over, Harte has complete faith in him.

“Brian has been one of the greatest servants this county has had,” said Harte. Dooher will miss the Dr McKenna Cup in January but may return during the NFL campaign.
