A LEADING GAA official has called on the incoming Government to work with them in a bid to reduce the country’s dole queues.

Gerry Larkin, chairman of the Galway County Board, has pleaded with the next leaders to work with the GAA in a bid to halt the growing trend of players moving abroad in search of employment.

“It is sad to see our young and well-educated people being forced to emigrate because of a lack of employment opportunities. “This is the biggest issue facing our club officers, members and players,” said Larkin.
