Another early decision day for Leinster deciders
Officials were in contact yesterday with county administrators regarding the situation on the ground at the relevant venues while also keeping one eye on temperatures which have risen marginally in recent days.
Carlow’s Dr Cullen Park is due to host the meeting of Kilkenny’s O’Loughlin Gaels and Oulart The Ballagh of Wexford in the hurling decider, while O’Moore Park is poised to provide the setting for Dublin’s Kilmacud Crokes and Offaly champions Rhode in the football equivalent.
The big freeze has already seen both fixtures postponed once before last weekend and Leinster secretary Michael Delaney has admitted that the games will be held over until the New Year in the event that Sunday’s schedule falls foul of the weather.
