Fixtures list falls foul of icy conditions

PROVINCIAL chiefs will be praying for a rapid improvement in the weather after the weekend’s cold snap created fixtures chaos in Leinster and Ulster.

Seven club championship deciders were called off including the high profile Leinster SHC final between O’Loughlin Gaels and Oulart the Ballagh along with the Ulster SFC showpiece between Donegal’s Naomh Conall and Crossmaglen.

Officials in both provinces are expect to reveal re-fixture details today, but with the icy conditions set to continue there are concerns about another weekend of postponements.
