Hogan goal seals quarter-final spot for St Colman’s

A GOAL by full-forward Ger Hogan midway through the second half sealed St. Colman’s passage to the Harty Cup quarter-finals at Ardmore yesterday.

While Colman’s were good value for their victory, it was hard-earned against an opposition that battled bravely to the end.

The Cork school, backed by the strong wind in the opening half, led by six points, 0-10 to 0-4, at the break, largely thanks to Pa Roche at wing-back and the Spillane brothers, Colm and Michael, at midfield and wing-forward respectively.
