English to give Tipp decision this week

NICKY ENGLISH will inform Tipperary county board officials this week whether or not he wants to return as the county’s senior hurling manager.

English, who managed Tipperary to All-Ireland glory in 2001, has been offered the job, but work and family commitments have scuppered a previous return to the hot-seat.

A county board meeting is scheduled for this evening but chairman Barry O’Brien previously stated a new manager will not be ratified until the November meeting.
