English to give Tipp decision this week
English, who managed Tipperary to All-Ireland glory in 2001, has been offered the job, but work and family commitments have scuppered a previous return to the hot-seat.
A county board meeting is scheduled for this evening but chairman Barry O’Brien previously stated a new manager will not be ratified until the November meeting.
English is due home from holidays abroad tomorrow and could meet with O’Brien and his fellow officers before the weekend. Top brass are anxious to find Sheedy’s successor as soon as possible as the players are due to undergo a fitness test at University of Limerick early next month, which could be overseen by Cian O’Neill.
