The Trabeg team established their credentials with four successive titles between 2005 and 2008, yet after losing out to Carbery last August they have returned this season to illustrate that their title appetite has not been sated. Throughout the campaign they have been impressive but it is the powerful third quarter bursts that dismantled St Nicholas and Clonakilty in the last two rounds which have been most striking.

In defence, county players Derek Kavanagh and Brian O’Regan command operations impressively, while Ciarán O’Shea and Colin O’Brien are superb man markers.
