Meyler talks up Meath threat

JOHN MEYLER is just 60 minutes from further enhancing his reputation as Kerry’s hurling messiah.

Meyler talks up Meath threat

Having transformed the fortunes of the Kingdom’s senior hurling team that went all the way to the Christy Ring Cup final this season, Meyler’s attention is now solely focussed on Kerry’s U21 hurlers who face Meath this evening an the All-Ireland U21 B final in Semple Stadium, Thurles. Hugely impressive in their one-sided 3-25 to 1-9 All-Ireland semi-final win over Fermanagh, Meyler’s young guns are within touch distance of back-to-back All-Ireland titles at this grade, which would be a huge boost for Kerry hurling.

But the experienced Meyler is wary of a strong Meath team that defeated Roscommon 3-17 to 1-9 in their semi-final.
