His comments came in the wake of two controversial decisions involving umpires in the county’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final loss to Down on Sunday.

Kildare chiefs were angered when Alan Smith’s first-half point attempt was waved wide and minutes later Down’s Benny Coulter fisted a controversial goal with officials failing to spot a square ball infringement.
