Players to back Banty

The board’s decision last week to seek nominations for the position prompted McEnaney to reconsider his position and he ruled himself out of the picture in an official statement yesterday. Defender Damien Freeman last night called for the board to entice McEnaney back into the frame and accused them of sending ‘mixed signals’.

Club fixtures this weekend are set to prevent the players from convening until next week.
