Lucey hints at hurling return
The Croom clubman has been a key member of Limerick’s football panel for the past two seasons as the Shannonsiders went desperately close to making a Munster championship breakthrough.
Lucey juggled both codes in 2009 but concentrated exclusively on football this year following the infamous spat between the Limerick hurlers and manager Justin McCarthy.
It appears that a chance of manager is imminent in Limerick and Lucey, 30, said on RTÉ Radio One’s ‘Take Your Point’ last night: “I have to be injury-free first.
“If I’m lucky enough to get picked, we’ll see. God knows, anything could happen down here.”
