Tipperary have firepower to destroy Déise dream
Kilkenny beat Galway by seven points in the Leinster final, Tipperary subsequently beat Galway in the All-Ireland quarter-final. So, putting all that together – and the reasoning behind the preview in these pages last Saturday – Cork should at least be able to put it up to Kilkenny in the All-Ireland semi-final, right? Very wrong as we all now know, so where then do you go to try and predict what’s going to happen between Waterford and Tipperary tomorrow?
Reading through the above, the form-line goes out the window – Cork beat Tipp, Waterford beat Cork, ergo Waterford to beat Tipp. Of course if it were that simple we wouldn’t even need to have the games played, would we? No place for logic then, right?
