No rush in Canty call

THE Cork management are set to give captain Graham Canty every chance to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday week’s All-Ireland football semi-final against Dublin.

No rush in Canty call

Canty continues to be rated extremely doubtful after tearing his right hamstring in the quarter-final win over Roscommon.

He has yet to test out the hamstring on the pitch but it is hoped that he will be in a position to do that next week.

The management will hold off on a decision until late next week.

Cork dual player Eoin Cadogan linked up again with the squad for training on Tuesday night in the wake of the Cork hurlers’ defeat.

Meanwhile, midfielder Darren Magee last night emerged as a serious injury doubt for Dublin.

He suffered a severe ankle injury while playing for his club Kilmacud Crokes. Magee has not started for Dublin this season but has regularly come on as a substitute.
