Roe laments Laois job wait
Roe, the county U21 boss, has described himself as the ‘best man’ to replace Sean Dempsey and has called on the county executive to act quickly. He said: “It’s bizarre that it’s taking so long. The nominations closed last Friday week but there has been nothing done since and the vacuum has been filled by rumours and that isn’t a good situation.
“Obviously the county executive can take as long as they want and they want to get it right but I believe I’m the best man for the job.”
Roe says he will consider his position as U21 boss if he fails to land the top job. “I want what’s right for Laois and if I don’t get it this time it will be the third time I’ve been turned down. If they’re happy with me as U21 manager and not for the senior, you’d have to wonder what’s going on.”
