Burns brightest as Cork shade it

It looked like the three-in-a-row chasers were heading for a third defeat of the campaign as they trailed the league champions by a point entering extra time. But in an incredible finish, Síle Burns fired 1-1 to earn a sensational victory.

The hosts had a strong wind in the first half and got off to a wonderful start with Julia White goaling but a resolute Wexford outfit stayed in touch and were just two points behind at the break (1-5 to 0-6).
