Cussen in for Cork as Séan Óg fit for battle
Cussen replaces hamstring-hit Jerry O’Connor in the starting side selected by manager Denis Walsh, with Niall McCarthy moving into centre-forward and Cussen starting on the left wing. Despite intense speculation over the fitness of Sean Óg Ó hAilpín, the Na Piarsaigh man has been named at left half-back. Opponents Waterford have also made just the one personnel switch with Seamus Prendergast brought into the team.
Tyrone manager Mickey Harte has made four changes for Sunday’s Ulster SFC final against Monaghan from the semi-final clash with Down. Three of the switches come in defence with Cathal McCarron starting his first championship match at right corner-back instead of hamstring victim Martin Swift, while Ryan McMenamin comes back into the team at left corner-back instead of Dermot Carlin while Davy Harte replaces his cousin Peter Harte at right half-back. The final alteration comes in attack as Tommy McGuigan starts at full-forward instead of Stephen O’Neill, who sustained a bruised heel during the victory over Down. Seamus McEnaney will name his Monaghan starting side tonight.
