The future of Cavan boss Tommy Carr was under the spotlight after their crushing defeat while Cork chief, Conor Counihan, was preoccupied with the injuries which forced midfielders Alan O’Connor and Aidan Walsh off while Colm O’Neill limped off in the last minute.

Asked if he believed he would have a continuing involvement, Carr replied: “I have just discussed it with the chairman. We are not making any announcements like that. (There’s) no rush.”
