That was the task facing Galway boss John McIntyre after his side had failed to keep pace with Kilkenny during the third quarter of the Leinster hurling final.
From being just 1-5 to 1-8 adrift at half-time, the provincial decider debutants were blown out of the water by the rampant Cats, who shot eight points on the trot in a 15-minute purple patch.
