THE same day his opinions on the new breed of code-breakers made headlines Down Under, Tadhg Kennelly also did his talking on the pitch on Saturday night, helping the Sydney Swans to an emphatic victory on his return from injury.

The All-Ireland winner, one of the most successful AFL converts in recent years, was sought out to give his take on the high profile switch of rugby league player Israel Folau to the AFL, hot on the heels of Karmichael Hunt, both superstars of the 13-man game.

“The best thing for me was because I played Gaelic football, I had the aerobic fitness because Gaelic and AFL are quite similar – with lots of running,” said Kennelly.
