Cork need to pull the trigger

FRUSTRATION and regret are emotions Cork football supporters are well acquainted with after meeting Kerry, but they’re lingering longer than usual this week.

Not to the point of doubting Cork’s ability to finish the job in Páirc Ui Chaoimh tomorrow, but there’s still a nagging sense of an opportunity lost in psychological terms.

This Cork-Kerry thing may not even rise to the crescendo some expect later this season in Croke Park, but if it does, then going to Killarney and dishing out a comprehensive hiding to Kerry for the first time in 15 years would have been an important step on the road.
