Farrell delighted by semi decision

WESTMEATH chairman Tom Farrell believes the decision to play the Leinster SFC semi-finals as a double header at Croke Park on June 27 will be a massive public relations boost for the GAA during the World Cup.

Farrell delighted by semi decision

It emerged last night that Westmeath and Louth officials were keen that their semi be switched to Jones Road to be played alongside the clash of the winners from this weekend’s ties between Dublin/Wexford and Laois/Meath.

The Westmeath and Louth tie, originally fixed for June 26 in Páirc Tailteann at 4pm, will now be played at 5.50pm but officials in neither county were upset over the timing of the match which will be televised.
