Kelly: fans don’t like Mondays

WATERFORD star Eoin Kelly has branded the GAA’s decision to play the Clare-Waterford Munster SHC clash on Bank Holiday Monday as “unfair” on supporters of both counties.

“It was unfair to put the game on a Monday instead of Sunday, which is what people expect,” said the Passage clubman yesterday.

“It was completely alien to people to be thinking about heading up to Thurles on a Monday morning, whether they were going from Clare or Waterford.
