Rossiter: we can trip up Tribesmen
Not so fast, says Keith Rossiter. Galway may be the new glamour- boys, but Wexford will have a say in this year’s Leinster championship, beginning this evening in Nowlan Park. He said: “It’s a bit of history in the making, our first meeting in Leinster, but hopefully it will be good history! Everyone seems to think we’re a hundred miles behind Galway, hurling-wise. But past results show that Wexford have always held their own with Galway in the championship.”
Although they have a good record against them in the league, Galway have never beaten the men from the sunny south-east when it matters most. The Tribesmen have lost six of their seven meetings, with one draw recorded in 1976.
