CORK hurler Patrick Horgan has allayed fears that he is in danger of missing the county’s upcoming first-round clash with Tipperary in the Munster SHC due to a shoulder injury.

The Glen Rovers clubman picked up the knock last Sunday in the NHL Division One final with Galway but finished the game with three points, including a penalty deflected over the by Tribesmen keeper Colm Callanan.

Earlier this week it was feared that Horgan would face two to three weeks on the sideline but the player confirmed yesterday that he would be fit to play in the Tipp game.
