O’Leary gets chance to stake Kerry claim against Galway
Gooch’s club colleague Kieran O’Leary dropped out of the Kerry panel last season but has returned reinvigorated this campaign, and gets his chance to prove his worth tomorrow in a revamped Kerry attack.
O’Leary comes in a left corner-forward with Declan O’Sullivan returning to centre half-forward, and Darran O’Sullivan missing out this week. David Moran and David O’Callaghan continue in the half-forward line after impressing in Kerry’s first league win of the season against Derry.
Marc Ó Sé’s return sees him start at full-back with Tommy Griffin amongst the replacements. Donncha Walsh and Aidan O’Shea are still injured.
Laois dual player Cahir Healy has given the county’s hurling team a major boost as he has opted to play in their game against Antrim in Casement Park tomorrow instead of the footballers’ NFL Division 2 clash with Westmeath in Mullingar.
Fermanagh’s Ryan Carson has lost his appeal against a four week ban for striking an Antrim player with his arm last weekend at Casement Park. Wexford’s Ben Brosnan also had his four-week ban for striking against Sligo last week upheld by the Central Hearings Committee.
