Reidy bidding to help mastermind Limerick victory

AFTER years of service to Limerick football on the field, Michéal Reidy tonight slips into a different role outside the white lines.

The county’s U21 footballers face Clare in a Munster quarter-final at the Gaelic Grounds at 7.30pm, with former senior county attacker Reidy a selector with manager Maurice Horan.

Reidy was at the coalface of Limerick’s efforts to achieve a Munster senior title in 2003 and 2004, and is now entrusted with trying to bring through the next batch of players on Shannonside.
