Galvin ban appeal tonight

AN appeal by Kerry star Paul Galvin against an eight-week ban will be heard tonight by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee at Croke Park.

Galvin, who was sent off along with Cork’s Eoin Cadogan by referee Maurice Deegan during the the recent Cork-Kerry Allianz NFL tie at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, has been granted a personal hearing.

Asked if he was confident of a successful outcome Kerry County Board Chairman Jerome Conway said yesterday “you can never be confident of these things. All you can do is put your case and hope for the best.”
