ULSTER Council Secretary Danny Murphy has indicated that he’s ready to say ‘no’ to the GAA’s experimental rules.

In the long-serving official’s report to Saturday’s Ulster Council Annual Convention in Cootehill, Cavan, his tone is generally mild and the Down man raises little in the way of major talking points.

But he does question why exactly the GAA introduced yet another batch of trials for this year’s National Leagues including the ‘mark’, the abolition of the square ball rule and altered hand pass.
