Caffrey putting his faith in Fennell

FORMER manager Paul Caffrey has identified Eamon Fennell as the ‘heir apparent’ to Dublin’s famous number nine jersey vacated by Ciarán Whelan.

Fennell’s second coming in a Dublin jersey, having initially failed to make the grade under Caffrey, has been the chief positive for the Leinster champions so far this season.

The powerful 25-year old endured a difficult 2009 season partly due to injuries and also because of a long running dispute over his club allegiances.
