Canty planning March return

CORK captain Graham Canty is targeting a mid-March date for his comeback to inter-county football as he continues to try to shake off a persistent hamstring injury.

Canty planning March return

He missed both of Cork’s opening league wins against Monaghan and Kerry, and while the March 6 tie against Galway may be too soon for the Bantry man to feature, he could be involved in the ties with Tyrone and Dublin.

“It’s a small hamstring injury lingering from last year,” said Canty. “I’m just trying to clear it up but it is complicated, trying to find the source of it. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be back. Early March might be a bit soon, but we’ll see.”
