Realistic Evans sets sights on survival

TIPPERARY manager John Evans is targeting survival in NFL Division Two and an extended run in the All-Ireland qualifiers this season.

Evans has spectacularly guided the Premier County to back to back promotions in the National Football League (NFL) but admits his ambitions for the campaign ahead are for consolidation.

“The goals for 2010? What we have done in the past two seasons has been hugely exciting. But I am a realist.
