Cork footballers get ready to rumble in Macroom

FOUR members of the Cork senior football panel will be in action when Rylane Boxing Club stage their first open tournament of the season at the Riverside Park Hotel in Macroom tonight.

It will be a second outing for All Star, Michael Shields, and defender, Noel O’Leary, while Derek Kavanagh and captain, Graham Canty, will also be in action.

For the past six weeks, almost 30 members of the panel have been training in the Rylane club in preparation for a charity show at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Cork at the end of the month – details of which will be announced at a press conference in the Rochestown Park Hotel on Tuesday night.
