McDermott: Discipline the key

WINNING manager Michael McDermott had no doubt that Kilmurry-Ibrickane’s disciplined approach was a crucial factor in their victory in the AIB Munster club football final at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.

And, linked with that was the absolute determination to avenge their narrow defeat 12 months ago at the hands of Limerick side Drom-Broadford.

“Last year, the heartache we had in that dressing room coming off the field was tough. We were just delighted to get back out there and win,’’ said the Cavan native, who was recently appointed as the Clare coach.
