Give our county boys a job, urges Doherty

DONEGAL manager John Joe Doherty has called on employers in his county to provide jobs for his county players, as he is fearful they may emigrate and be lost to the game.

“Without a doubt, it is a real worry. These lads are coming to a stage in their lives where they have to make decisions.

“A lot of them would have stayed around for last summer just to play football but it is something that we would be hoping that we will not be losing players, but it’s terrible because you can’t really do anything about it.
