CRATLOE, competing in the Munster Club SHC for the first time, bowed out at the semi-final stage yesterday, losing a tight, tense, game to Ballygunner at Walsh Park.

“We rode our luck in the opening half,” Ballygunner mentor Tom Fives admitted. “Cratloe didn’t get the rewards they deserved in that half.”

“Our second-half substitutions also worked superbly well for us,’’ said Fives.
