Fennelly: give players a voice on boards

KILKENNY’S All-Ireland winning captain Michael Fennelly believes players should be formally represented within their counties at board or at senior management level.

He is convinced that such a process could help prevent the growing trends of high-profile standoffs which have developed throughout the country in recent years.

Clare and Limerick are the most recent examples of disputes between players and management but Fennelly is convinced that there is a simple solution to such rows.
