Kerry and Cork grab 14 of the 15 places on GPA’s team of the year
Dermot Earley is the only player not to have featured in September’s All-Ireland final who has made both the All Star and GPA selections.
His presence on the list released yesterday is further evidence of a stunning return to form in 2009 after a number of seasons blighted by injury and illness. Donegal’s Karl Lacey and Tyrone’s Stephen O’Neill also made the cut for the All Star’s elite band of brothers last month but neither secured the backing of their fellow players this time around.
