Former Limerick star Moran blasts McCarthy’s player cull

FORMER Limerick hurler Ollie Moran has blasted Justin McCarthy’s decision to cut 12 players from the 2009 panel describing the development as ‘shameful’.

Veterans Stephen Lucey, Donie Ryan, Mike O’Brien, Mark O’Riordan, Andrew O’Shaughnessy and Niall Moran are amongst those culled in a move which has created shockwaves in the county.
