GAA chiefs last night reported that Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC final between Kerry and Cork is a sell-out, with demand for tickets “greater than the hurling”.

Though Sunday’s clash will be the 19th championship meeting between the counties since 2000, such familiarity has failed to dampen the enthusiasm of fans nationwide.

Croke Park ticket managerRonan Murphy said last night: “If anything the interest is greater than the hurling. There has been fantastic demand nationwide. Despite it being an all-Munster game, or what happened in the final two years ago, the interest is incredible.”
