Cody hails Cats’ ‘outstanding’ Grand Slam bid

SENIOR boss Brian Cody has paid tribute to the contribution of everyone within the county to Kilkenny’s Grand Slam hurling bid.

The county’s intermediate side face Cork in this Saturday’s All-Ireland decider, with Cody’s senior team and the minor outfit in action a week later, followed by the U21’s All-Ireland date on September 13.

All four sides are bidding to retain crowns from last year and Cody has described it as ‘hugely gratifying’ that Kilkenny are on the verge of another clean sweep.
