Premier primed for mind games

LESS than a week to go to Sunday’s All-Ireland senior hurling semi-final against Limerick, and for Tipperary manager Liam Sheedy, it’s a case of going upstairs.

It’s all about getting inside the heads of his players, making sure that mentally, they are right for this challenge against a Limerick team that has already exceeded the expectations of most of their own followers.

Sheedy knows only too well that far from being a foregone conclusion, this semi-final represents a huge challenge for his young side, a potential season-ending challenge.
