The former Dublin and Roscommon supremo survived a vote of no confidence at a county board meeting on Monday night, with delegates asking for time to discuss the motion with their club members.

Carr’s first season in charge was not a memorable one as Cavan failed to make any impact in NFL Division Three. It looked like matters were improving considerably with the defeat of Fermanagh in the Ulster championship, but subsequent losses to Antrim and Wicklow left many supporters disgruntled and the issue was discussed at length on Monday night.
