Kernan rules out return to Armagh post

ARMAGH legend Joe Kernan has ruled out a return to county management following Peter McDonnell’s shock resignation for the post.

Former player Kernan guided Armagh to their only All-Ireland title in 2002 and to four Ulster titles in total before stepping down in 2007 following their qualifier defeat to Derry.

Crossmaglen man Kernan admitted yesterday that he’d “never say never” about a future return with his native county but maintained that now is not the right time.
