ALAN BROGAN has played down the notion that Dublin will be better prepared for an All-Ireland assault this year thanks to their hard-fought victory over Kildare in the Leinster final.

Last year, under Paul Caffrey, the county swept through their province but lost an All-Ireland quarter-final to Tyrone by 12 points after having 23 to spare against Wexford in the Leinster decider.

The competition, or lack of it, in Leinster has been a perennial talking point in the years since Dublin claimed the first of their five-in-a-row but Brogan is dismissive of its relevance going forward.
