A SENIOR Croke Park official yesterday claimed it was ‘disingenuous’ for the GPA to infer that the GAA had ‘been dragging its feet’ on the issue of official recognition for the players’ association.

GAA’s operations and player welfare manager Feargal McGill said considerable progress had been made in the area of player welfare in recent years but this had not been highlighted.
