Morgan tipped to lead UCC charge
It is understood Morgan has been approached by a number of players on the Cork college’s squad about the role and although he has yet to make a decision, speculation is growing he will accept the position.
Morgan’s appointment would be a serious boost to UCC’s setup as the college is without a Sigerson Cup crown since 1995 and have crashed out of the competition at the first hurdle in the past two seasons. Morgan, who had a successful record in the competition as a player, winning medals with UCC in 1966 and 1967, is currently at the helm of Nemo Rangers intermediate footballers, who face Clyda Rovers this Friday in the third round of the Cork PIFC.
