Even this spring, when they were a big fish surrounded by plankton in Division Two, they failed to bag the silverware.

They topped the table in regulation standings, but when it came to the crunch in the league final in Semple Stadium, it was Offaly who took home the trophy and the promise of top-flight league hurling next season.
