O’Sullivan: this game will serve us well

KERRY captain Darran O’Sullivan was trying to look on the bright side – and he had every reason to be positive after the way the favourites came back to force a draw in Fitzgerald Stadium yesterday.

Pointing out that it was their first competitive game since the league final against Derry, he commented: “This game is going to serve us very well. If we can play like we did towards the end of it, we’ll be there or thereabouts next week.

“We were sloppy at the start and we let Cork get a good bit ahead of us. They were jumping out of their skins. I thought they played a good running game. But, you have to say we played well in the end.’’
