McCutcheon and Keating named in Cavan half backline

CAVAN introduce two debutantes for the Ulster SFC second round clash with Fermanagh at Breffni Park on Saturday night. John McCutcheon is named at right half back with Eugene Keating in the pivotal centre back position.

Fermanagh have injury doubts surrounding centre-back Ryan McCloskey, Peter Sheery and Martin McGrath. McCloskey was forced to leave the field with a leg injury at half-time in Fermanagh’s first round win over Down and is considered doubtful. But Sheery (hamstring) and McGrath (knee) are likely to get the nod.

Also pressing for inclusion are midfielder cum half forward Mark Murphy, who was in Australia for the Down match, and former All Star full back Barry Owens who is back at full fitness after undergoing surgery on a cruciate knee ligament which forced him out of the NFL.
