Ticket push for Semple showdown

MUNSTER Council chiefs have undertaken a major ticket push ahead of Sunday’s senior hurling championship opener between Tipperary and Cork (Semple Stadium, 4pm, RTÉ Two).

Tickets will be on sale at Páirc Uí Rinn, Cork today, tomorrow and Friday (11am to 3pm; 4pm to 7pm) while fans can also purchase them at Lár na Páirc, Thurles from 10am every day this week.

Munster PRO Jim Forbes said the Council were being proactive in these recessionary times.
