Ticket push for Semple showdown
Tickets will be on sale at Páirc Uí Rinn, Cork today, tomorrow and Friday (11am to 3pm; 4pm to 7pm) while fans can also purchase them at Lár na Páirc, Thurles from 10am every day this week.
Munster PRO Jim Forbes said the Council were being proactive in these recessionary times.
He reasoned: “We are all trying to do something new. In the past in Cork the facility was not available for day time sales but that has changed. We will see how it works, but we are also pleased with the way tickets are going on our website.”
He also revealed that tickets will be available on match day at three venues in Tipperary.
Forbes continued: “Tickets will be on sale in Thurles from 11am on Sunday morning from three different locations – the handball alley on the New Stand side, the Thurles Sarsfields pitch pavilion and Dr Morris Park.
“We would implore supporters travelling to Thurles to come and pick up their tickets early to avoid a huge rush just before the throw-in.”
He added: “Family tickets are going very well and we are delighted with the interest shown in them.”
Meanwhile, tickets for the Munster SFC semi-final between Kerry and Cork which takes place in Killarney on Sunday, June 7 went on sale online (munster.gaa.ie) yesterday.
SFC Ticket prices: Covered Stand €30; Uncovered Seating €25; Terrace €20; Student Tickets (Terrace only) €15; Juveniles €5 (Family Ticket). Senior Citizens please note that a refund of €10 is available on stand tickets on production of valid ID prior to entering the stadium at designated turnstiles on the day of the game.
Juvenile group passes are also available to purchase. Juvenile Group passes cost €3 per juvenile and 1 adult is permitted free with every 10 juveniles. Juvenile Group pass application are available through county boards only.
